Harry ‘needs UK return’ and asks former aides to ‘carry him in from chilly’
Prince Harry is said to be plotting a dramatic return to the UK with the help of former royal aides — marking the first stage of what insiders are calling “operation bring Harry in from the cold”.
The Mail on Sunday reported the Duke of Sussex has sought advice from trusted figures from his past life as a working royal. The newspaper claimed it is an attempt to mastermind a return from the United States.
Sources claimed Harry, who has been living in California with wife Meghan Markle and their two children since 2020, is growing dissatisfied with American-based image experts. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be burning through PR advisers.

The new strategy could see Harry spend more time in the UK. It is thought he would be open to repairing his relationship with his father King Charles and a partial return to the royal fold.
The Mail stressed Harry and Meghan are not seeking a permanent move back to the UK — with the potential plan for Harry to gradually reintegrate into British life. One trusted adviser suggested he could carry out “very low-key royal duties” to regain public favour.
“Harry is turning away from all sorts of Hollywood publicists and seeking counsel from his old friends and associates,’ a source told the outlet. “In short, he is rethinking the way he operates.”
It is possible the Duke could eventually carry out “minor” duties such as attending “ribbon-cutting” events. Pals have suggested it could provide Harry, who turns 40 this month, a renewed sense of purpose.
Earlier this week, the Duke of Sussex made a discreet visit to the UK for the service of Lord Robert Fellowes. Married to the late Princess Diana’s sister, Lady Jane, Lord Fellowes was an esteemed figure in royal circles and passed away last month at the age of 82.
A funeral goer said he kept his distance from brother Prince William, with whom he is experiencing a rocky relationship. The pair are not thought to be on speaking terms following bombshell claims made after Harry withdrew from British life.
