I’m an American within the UK… listed below are the FIVE issues we do higher
An American woman has shared the five things she believes that the United States does better than the UK.
Posting to her account on TikTok under the handle @mortonsmunchies, where she has more than 43,000 followers, the vlogger listed the experiences she finds to be superior in the US compared to the UK.
Revealing the first item she felt was superior in the US compared to the UK, she found the quality of pancake syrup to be markedly superior.
The content creator commented: ‘The pancake syrup here in the UK is very thick like honey and in America it’s nice and thin and it spreads so well.
‘I am not against the [style of pancake syrup] in the UK but I do think the one in the US is better’.

Next up, she found the quality of air conditioning in the UK to be lacking in comparison to how efficient she felt it was Stateside.
The American noted: ‘The air conditioning in America [is much more widely available] while here in the UK you just have to live with the heat’.
Third on the list, @mortonsmunchies said that she was not a fan of street layouts in the UK compared to the US.
She remarked: ‘In the United States, everything is in a block system but in the UK it looks like a child put a house down randomly on a map. It makes America a lot easier to navigate around’.
Her penultimate pick of things she felt the US to do better than the UK was the quality and availability of food seasonings.
Elaborating on why, she stated: ‘There is a wider variety of choice in America for what type of seasoning you can use to accompany your meal and I think they are generally better than those in the UK’.
Lastly, the vlogger said that she felt Halloween to be a much more enjoyable experience in the US than the UK.
She said: ‘I’m sorry but in America Halloween is out of this world and absolutely amazing while here in the UK it’s not so enjoyable.
‘This year we are literally flying back to America so my children can experience Halloween there because it’s on a totally different level than it is here in the UK’.

Another posted: ‘What seasonings does the US have that the UK doesn’t? We have so many we have aisles in shops dedicated to them.’
