Burning Man nappy-wearing furry slammed for ‘creeping out youngsters at household occasion’
A diaper-clad furry has been dubbed a “sick” individual after sharing a photo of themselves standing near children at a Burning Man “family event”.
Thousands of thrill-seekers flocked to Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to get stuck into what many are calling the “wildest festival of the year”, which finishes off today (Monday, September 2).
The nine-day extravaganza kicked off on Sunday (August 25) with festival-goers, known as Burners, setting up their themed camps across the sun-baked playa to enjoy a bizarre and bonkers feast of – sometimes sexual – activities.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.
These rather spicy activities also reached out to the furry community… And if you’re not familiar with furries, they are people interested in anthropomorphic animals, or animals with human characteristics – often focusing on sex. Yep, you guessed it – very weird.
And despite temperatures at Burning Man sometimes exceeding a sweltering 37C, these… eccentrics, shall we say, are still all too happy to climb inside those blistering hot animal suits as a way of “expressing” themselves – even if it means smelling like an armpit.
But it seems one member of the furry community took it too far at this year’s Burning Man event, with some X users responding to a furry’s photo of himself wearing a diaper over his animal costume – all while standing near kids.
The now-deleted photo has caused quite the stir, with one disgruntled netizen suggesting he would have traumatised kids: “Bro just accept it, You’re weird, just accept the fact that you’re a freak and walk away, not everyone needs to see your fetish, if you think that people should be forced to see your fetish when you’re in a public space you are a creep”.
“Yes I’m weird and I’m proud of it! Me wearing a diaper over my fursuit isn’t hurting anyone,” responded the defiant furry. But the X user wasn’t having any of it, adding: “It. Is. Fetish. Gear. Near children. F**k off.”
One person questioned how a child would know that it was “fetish gear”, to which the fuming keyboard warrior said: “A child doesn’t need to know specifics, they just need to [know it is] weird for an adult to wear a diaper”.
Desperately trying to portray dressing as a furry as a form of “self-expression”, another chimed in: “Why do they need to know that? You’re the weird one for wanting to make it weird for kids to learn self expression is wrong.”
Another added: “You don’t actually care about children. You just don’t like seeing people expressing themselves in a non traditional way. Kids aren’t uncomfortable. You are. Maybe learn about about radical self expression. At Burning Man people ran around in all kinds of outfits with kids around”.
Meanwhile, a whole host of other activities were on offer to Burners this year – including “happy ending” massages, “virgin sacrifice parties” and “Revenge of The Horny Alien Scientists”. Read the full story here.
