Moment Kate Winslet giggles as she’s heckled by a fan

This is the hilarious moment Kate Winslet couldn’t contain her giggles as she was heckled by a fan who showered her with compliments at the London premiere of her new film Lee on Tuesday.

The English actress, 48, put on a glamorous display as she attended the showing at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.

She looked sensational in a plunging black and gold gown, which featured pretty capped sleeves and glittery detailing, flaunting her gorgeous curves.

One fan who was particularly dazzled by Kate’s red carpet glam wanted to make sure the star knew just how stunning she looked – and wasn’t afraid to tell her.

Influencer Sugapuff, who posts under the handle @sugapuffofficial, shared a clip of the funny moment he took his chance and shouted compliments at the actress as she stepped out of car and arrived at the star-studded premiere.

In the video, Kate emerges from her vehicle, surrounded by security and her team on either side of her as they begin making their way to the red carpet.

Seizing the moment, the excited fan loudly shouted: ‘Kate, you look beautiful and glamorous! I love your look.’

The actress whipped her head around upon hearing her name and burst into a fit of giggles, looking to the person she was with to make sure she also heard it.

She then continued on towards the premiere – but now with a huge smile on her face.

Sharing a video of the interaction to Instagram, Sugapuff penned in the caption: ‘I told #katewinslet she looked great, it’s not everyday you bump into Kate Winslet.’

Viewers wrote in the comments: ‘Oohhh she heard you loud and clear,’ ‘Wow,’ and a slew of laughing emojis.

Kate’s new film Lee is a biographical drama telling the story of American ex-model Lee Miller who took photographs of poignant moments during World War II for Vogue magazine.

Starring Kate in the titular role, Lee also boasts Josh O’Connor, Marion Cotillard, Andy Samberg, and Alexander Skarsgard.

Lee premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023 but will hit UK cinemas on September 13.

During filming, Kate personally paid all the crew’s salaries for two weeks due to ‘precarious’ financing.

In August, it was revealed that Kate will be heading to Australia to further promote the film.

Lee was directed by Ellen Kuras and was written by Liz Hannah, John Collee, and Marion Hume. 

It is based on The Lives Of Lee Miller by Antony Penrose, 76, the son of Lee and Sir Roland Penrose. Lee died in 1977 in East Sussex at the age of 70.

Kate told Vogue: ‘Lee was a woman who lived her life on her terms and she paid a horrific emotional price for all of it.

‘I wanted to tell the story of a flawed middle-​aged woman who went to war and documented it.’

Antony said: ‘When I saw Kate all those years ago in Titanic, what I loved was that she wasn’t afraid to get wet, to get dirty, to fall in the water, to get roughed up.

‘I thought she would make a fantastic Lee Miller.’
