Police eager to talk with two walkers amid Anita Rose demise probe
Police are keen to speak to two men who may hold key information into the murder of a dogwalker in a rural village after tracking her last movements.
Anita Rose, 57, was found by a member of the public lying unconscious with a serious head injury on July 24 in Brantham, Suffolk.
She died four days later at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and as part of their murder probe, Suffolk Police, which launched a murder investigation in connection with her death, said yesterday they want to speak to two men.
Detective Superintendent Mike Brown said: ‘Following our CCTV searches, house to house and witness enquiries, we have been able to narrow down who we would like to speak to in connection with Anita’s murder.
‘It must be understood that we believe they may be able to assist us in our enquiries and are not suspects in this case.
‘It’s important we identify and locate these two individuals to get a better understanding of how they can assist the investigation.

‘Any information they have, big or small, could assist in establishing the full circumstances surrounding Anita’s injuries and subsequent death and so we ask these individuals or anyone who may know them to get in contact with us.’
It comes after the force released ‘replicated images’ of the missing pink zip-up waterproof Regatta jacket Ms Rose was wearing when she was allegedly attacked.
They also issued a picture of her black wallet-style phone case which has a gold crown and studs on.
Officers recovered her actual Apple iPhone but are still looking for the case.
They believe the missing items ‘could hold key information’.
The pink jacket is no longer produced and is a Calderdale II in Duchess Dark Cerise from Regatta’s autumn/winter 2017 range, the force said.
Detective Superintendent Mike Brown said: ‘This update has come from continued work alongside Anita’s family who have assisted us in identifying the make and model of the jacket as well as providing us with an image of Anita’s phone case.

‘We continue to believe these missing items could hold key information or evidence to the investigation and ask anyone with any information to come forward and speak with us.
‘I’d like to thank Anita’s family for their continued support throughout this investigation, their co-operation has been integral to this case.’
The investigation continues and includes forensic work, searches, house-to-house inquiries and CCTV analysis.
By August 8 officers had spoken to more than 630 people during the probe, taking around 90 statements.
There have been three arrests in connection with the inquiry – a man aged in his 20s and a 45-year-old man on suspicion of murder, and a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
All three were subsequently released on bail.
