Dads brawl with college chairs in horror classroom violence – for a humorous motive
A parents evening took a nasty turn after two dads were involved at a brawl after their sons scrapped in the school yard.
The parents were called in after two schoolboys were punished for fighting. However, things escalated at the meeting leaving other family members and teachers to get involved.
Like father like son, one suspect appeared to confront the other verbally at first, before onlookers tried to separate them. One father, wearing a baseball cap in CTV footage, seemed to start the altercation.
The two men got into a brawl and tore down several easels and paintings in an art room as they fought to the floor. They were at Gastronomy and Tourism High School in Quilpu, Chile to attend the meeting at 8:30am.
Before this, their sons had allegedly started fighting at the school and the teachers called the parents in to discuss their behaviour. Following the incident, the dads destroyed school materials and injured two workers.
Neither the parents or the kids were carrying weapons, reported NeedToKnow. However, the police were called to the scene.
“The police showed up to take relevant statements and evaluate the legal implications that would help us proceed with an investigation immediately,” stated a school spokesperson.
“We deeply regret that our staff members were exposed to these events.”
An injured worker added: “We deserve to be able to go to school with the peace of mind that our day will be safe, our students can be calm, and that we can all return home to our families safely. The existence of such violent instances where there is the presence of knives is very serious.
“We cannot carry out academic activities under the illusion that everything is fine. What happened on Tuesday is very serious and it concerns us all as a community.”
There is currently an ongoing investigation into the brawl as police work with the school to try and come to a conclusion.
