Horror brawl erupts between dad and mom at ladies rugby sport – for odd cause

Tensions exploded on the sidelines of a girls rugby match as parents started to behave like children who didn’t get their own way.

An all out brawl broke out between the mums, dads and spectators cheering their daughters on from the sidelines during an under 12s grand final match in Sydney, Australia.

Police were called in to break up the fighting at Erskine Park, which led to the game between the Mt Druitt Vikings and the Penrith Brothers being scrapped.

People wrestled each other to the ground as they swung punches, while one man came out of the barney with a torn shirt.

The reason behind the appalling behaviour is pathetic. Witnesses said the fight kicked off after a referee made a call which supporters of one team weren’t happy with, reports MailOnline.

Witness Chad Nepia said: “It’s disgusting, we are here for the kids.

“We were on the other side of the field and we saw cops turn up about half and hour later.

In a statement, New South Wales police said they were called to the spores field around 9.45am on Saturday.

It continued: “On arrival, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were told two male spectators had become involved in an argument, with one of the males leaving the grounds.

“A short time later, the male reportedly returned with a number of other associates and a brawl occurred; however, the group left the area before police arrived.”

The shocking incident comes as police were called to break up another brawl between parents watching a football semi-final last month.

An under 13s football final, also held in Sydney, was derailed when parents, spectators and players started a savage brawl on Saturday, August 24.

Spectators jumped the fence at Ruse Park, and one man was knocked to the ground and then had his head stomped on, reports 7 News.

Police were told that two men, aged 39 and 36, from apposing teams were involved in the fray. By the time police arrived the fight had stopped and the crowd had left.
