A source told The Mirror: ‘Who needs the Kardashians or the Osbournes when you’ve got Stacey and Joe? The BBC might not seem like an obvious home for this kind of project but they have developed a great working relationship over the years so this felt like a natural progression.

‘It’s great that Stacey and Joe are going to let viewers into their lives. It might be chaos but it’s organised chaos! Everyone’s excited to see what the cameras will find.  It’s really going to be a lot of fun.

‘Everyone is delighted they agreed to let the cameras in and this will be something a bit different for BBC1.’

MailOnline has contacted Stacey’s representative and the BBC for comment.

This week, Stacey embraced her Halloween spirit two months early, as she began transforming Pickle Cottage into a spooktacular bonanza for the upcoming holiday.

The Loose Women presenter shared a sneak peek of her latest decoration project to Instagram.

But despite the clear hard work and effort, Joe appeared unhappy with the early decorations as he said he did not want to live in a ‘ghost house.’

‘It’s months before Halloween, I’m not walking around in a ghost house’, Joe said. ‘It’s either Halloween or me.’

The video then switched to a clip of Stacey lying on her bed laughing, while surrounded by an excess of Halloween decorations.

‘Me and my husband every September 1st’, Stacey quipped. We all knew who I’d chose. Happy September everyone. My favourite time of the year is coming!’

She then revealed that the decorations are part of her new autumn range at George at Asda.

‘I can’t even describe how lucky I feel to be able to create my autumn homeware dreams, so they will be plastered all over the house always,’ she said.

Scattered across the bed, there were a range of black-and-white fabric pumpkins, which will set you back £12 for a pack of five.

She placed a giant gold skeleton next to her on the bed, to show Joe that he has been replaced for the holiday season.

The TV personality also decorated her bedside with a ghost ornament – priced at £10 for three.

Wicker witch hats hung from her ceiling and a pumpkin wreath was placed above her headboard.

Her latest range also included ornament spell books, black and gold skulls and a ghost-patterned blanket.

Stacey’s fans were just as divided over the decorations as they were as many fans flocked to her comment box to beg for her to stop rushing the end of summer.
