Sienna Miller on why she would not wish to be the ‘largest film star’

Sienna Miller has revealed why she doesn’t want to be the ‘biggest movie star in the world’.

The American-British actress, 42, has worked in Hollywood for more than two decades and is best known for her big roles in Layer Cake, Alfie and Factory Girl.

However, Sienna – who recently welcomed her second child – has admitted she has no desire to become the most famous actress ever as she gave a candid insight into her career ambitions.

Despite having a staggering estimated net worth of $18million, Sienna also said she has no plans to retire early and wants to work for the rest of her life.

‘I don’t have to be the biggest movie star in the world. I love that I get to keep working,’ she told this week’s issue of Stellar Magazine

‘I know I will work the rest of my life. I get to do a play, I’ve got a beautiful new baby. Yeah, [I’m] very happy.’

She said she has never felt more ‘fulfilled’ and that her career ambitions involve working with esteemed directors including Poor Things’ Porgos Lanthimos and Martin Scorsese.

Sienna is currently promoting her new movie – Kevin Costner’s western epic, Horizon: An American Saga.

Elsewhere in the interview, Sienna also reflected on becoming a mother for the second time, 12 years after welcoming her first child.

She gave birth to her daughter Marlowe with her ex Tom Sturridge in July 2012, and welcomed another daughter with her boyfriend Oli Green around eight months ago.

She revealed that motherhood feels ‘completely different’ the second time around and said she is grateful she has been able to take her baby to work with her.

‘I’m a very different person. People often have lots to say about having babies in your 40s as women, but I can’t advocate for it more. I feel very lucky,’ she gushed.

Model Sienna has just returned to work after finishing her maternity leave and said she has found her job and motherhood both ‘equally fulfilling’.

Sienna recently said the 11-year age gap between her two daughters is ‘quite useful because one is tiny and portable, and the other is becoming increasingly independent’.

Sienna, who keeps her family life relatively private, was first spotted with her newborn daughter, whose name she has not revealed, in January.

Sienna and her partner Oli, 27, were first linked in February 2022 and she recently gushed over their relationship as she reflected on dating a younger man.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Sienna said: ‘I didn’t expect to take it seriously and then quite quickly, I fell in love. I wasn’t like, “I’m gonna get a younger boyfriend.” It was more, “F*ck! Why are you young? That’s so annoying”.’

‘There is a difference in the way that generation of men respect women. It’s specific to him, he is very wise and well-adjusted, but I do believe it’s also that generation.

‘They have grown up with a slightly more level playing field. I see it in his female friends as well as in the men.’
