Major grocery store to open 23 new UK shops and can refurb 100 extra – see record
Major supermarket brand Aldi is set to open 23 new stores across the UK before the year’s end.
The budget supermarket chain has announced an £800million investment to “speed up its expansion across Britain”, with new branches popping up in Muswell Hill, London, Caterham, and Surrey.
While 13 new locations have been confirmed by the chain, exact opening dates remain under wraps. The hefty investment will also fund the refurbishment of 100 existing stores, expand its distribution centres network, and update its “technology infrastructure”.
