Queen Maxima looked the part as she visited a laboratory during the opening of a new factory of NX Filtration on Wednesday in Hengelo.

The Dutch royal, 53, ditched her usual glam attire in exchange for a lab coat and safety glasses as she helped make a membrane in the laboratory during her visit.

However before the mother-of-three got stuck into science experiments, she showcased her usual sophisticated style in a baby blue floral dress.

She completed the chic look with dark green stilettos, a matching beret style hat and clutch bag.

Maxima appeared in good spirits as she was shown around the grounds of the new company.

The NX Filtration factory produces filters to purify water, based on nano-membrane technology in it’s factory.

Yesterday, she also appeared in high spirits as she opened a new clinic in south Holland.

She cut an elegant figure in a burnt orange ensemble to officially open the new outpatient Endometriosis Clinic at the Reiner de Graaf Hospital in Delft.

The mother-of-three sported a long-sleeved blouse with ruffles and a pair of high waisted trousers in a matching shade.

She accessorised with matching chrome heels and a chunky velvet headband, enhancing her sophisticated look.

Her long, blonde tresses were sleek and straightened and Maxima opted for a glamorous make-up look that accentuated her eyes.

The royal was smiling as she chatted with children outside the hospital after accepting a bouquet of white flowers ahead of the event.

Maxima opened the new clinic, which will treat outpatients with endometriosis – a condition where tissue like the lining of the womb grows in other places, including the ovaries and fallopian tubes.

Endometriosis affects the physical and mental health of one in ten women in the UK from puberty to menopause, though the impact may persist for life, according to Endometriosis UK.

It comes after Queen Maxima joined her family to watch the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix in August.

The royal, 53, looked effortlessly elegant in a fern green blouse and a summery white skirt embroidered with leaf-print as she stepped out at Circuit Park in Zandvoort.

She paired her ensemble with a khaki trench coat adorning a floral print on the the back – as the weather was a relatively mild 18 degrees – and also donned white open-toe sandals.

Maxima opted to accessorise with chic dangly white flower earrings to complement her outfit, along with a silver diamond bracelet and other trinkets.

The mother-of-three went for natural makeup, wearing a touch of foundation and concealer and sporting her signature smoky eyeshadow.

She wore her long blonde tresses down in a wavy look, as the strands blew around in the strong winds.

In one sweet snap, the Queen can be seen smiling as she embraces Princess Annette, who is married to Prince Bernhard, King Willem-Alexander’s cousin.

Queen Maxima was also joined by her husband King Willem-Alexander, 57, who looked dapper in his tan-coloured suit blazer and trouser co-ord.

He paired the ensemble with a light blue crisp shirt which he tucked in and also sported highly polished brown leather shoes.

In one snap, the King could be seen enjoying a glass of bubbly while watching the drivers race around the track.

In a nail-biting race, British driver Lando Norris won the Grand Prix for McLaren.

Most of the crowd of 105,000 people were cheering for their own hero, the biggest sports star in Holland, Max Verstappen. However, he was unable to beat Norris and came in 2nd place.

Monégasque Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc took home the bronze trophy.

Their daughter, Princess Alexia was also in attendance, however it is not believed her sisters Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange, or Princess Ariane joined the family on the outing.

The 19-year-old wore a simple yet sophisticated ensemble, donning a knitted black asymmetrical shoulder top paired with a pair of smart navy trousers and a pair of comfortable white trainers.

She opted for natural makeup like her mother and wore her fiery ginger locks down in a wavy blow-dry.

Alexia seemed engrossed in the race, filming the drivers whizzing around the track on her smartphone while chatting with her father.

The teenager beamed as she posed alongside her parents for pictures at the event and also her cousin, Count Claus.
