Lag launched in jail clearout rearrested inside seconds of leaving jail
A man released early from prison was arrested again just seconds after stepping out of the jail.
Several convicts were released early this week after plans were drawn out to free up space in prison. Around 1,700 criminals were discharged with Kier Starmer’s latest scheme.
However, new videos show a man in a grey tracksuit tracked down just moments after walking out. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault, awaiting further investigation.

The lag left Wandsworth Prison in London in recent days, along with several other inmates. He had his hood up and looked happy to be out, before he was approached by two police officers who then handcuffed him.
He complied with the officers and was ushered into a waiting van, where he was driven to a nearby police station for questioning. The 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of rape, sex assault and a racially aggravated public order offence.
A member of the Met Police told The Sun: “A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of rape, sexual assault and a racially/religiously aggravated public order offence.
“He was taken to a south London police station before being bailed pending further enquiries in relation to the allegation of rape. No further action will be taken in connection with the other allegations.”
It has not yet been revealed whether he will be charged. However, several other lags were seen dancing and singing in the streets upon their removal from jail.
Prisoners were released after completing just 40 per cent of their sentence, rather than the standard 50 per cent. Labour proposals hope it will free up beds for new and hardened criminals.
It is thought that around 5,500 beds will no be available for new offenders. The Government have detailed protection measures to ensure safety against criminals.
People admitted for violent offences of at least four years, sex offenders and domestic abusers were completely refused for early entry. Also victims of the criminals have had a chance to seek, “protective measures.”
The criminals are on realise of licence which means they must stick to strict rules and restrictions while they serve the rest of their sentence in society. These include curfews, tagging and attending probation reviews with officers.
Members of the public have mixed opinions on their release, with some being shocked at the scenes of celebration upon release. One lag in particular was seen getting into a £200,000 Lamborghini straight after his release.
