Huge excessive avenue title to open 100 new shops to present Brits ‘final consolation’

In a bid to make life more convenient for tradespeople and DIYers living in cities, Screwfix is set to launch a number of new ‘city’ stores across the UK, and they’ll be different to all the others.

These new stores, which have been named ‘Screwfix City’ stores, feature a small store format that’s been designed specifically with city tradespeople, and their convenience, in mind.

The new stores will be located in high footfall areas and are set to offer a range of over 3,000 essential building items that will be available via Click and Collect.

For added convenience, the new stores will also offer Screwfix Sprint, offering rapid delivery of items within 60 minutes or less, with items being delivered to home or directly to a job site.

Max Britten, Screwfix UK and ROI managing director, said that the new stores will mean that Screwfix can better meet the needs of customers, offering them the “ultimate convenience” without taking them away from the job.

“We know how busy our customers are, and we understand the challenges they face in cities, such as getting a parking space on the job or having to down tools for an emergency product only to spend time stuck in traffic.

“With our Screwfix City stores, we’ve been able to launch an exciting new format that works in different locations to our traditional stores.”

The building supply chain has already launched six of these new stores in London, in Camden, Islington and Dulwich, and is set to launch another 20 by the end of 2024, followed by up to 100 stores over the next few years.
