Rampaging monkey who injured lady and attacked 70 vacationers lastly caught
A monkey who was renowned for causing havoc amongst tourists has finally been caught.
The simian has been stopped in its rampage after a trap was laid after the animal attacked a minor girl, leaving her seriously injured.
Although the monkey has a cute face and demeanour, the Forest Department officials in Rupnagar had to step in as the as reported by the Tribune.

The monkey has now been caged after reportedly attacking several residents in the Indian city. It is believed the monkey has attacked over 70 tourists, mainly female, and would escape to the forest area after doing so.
DFO Kulraj Singh Randhawa said a team of five consisting of Block Officer Sukhbir Singh, Range Officer Narinderpal Singh and forest guards Jasbir Singh, Jaspreet Singh and Gurmukh Singh, was deployed to catch the monkey.
Although curbing the monkey menace is the duty of the civic body, the Forest Department officials had no choice but to step in. Randhawa said: “It tried to attack the forest guard today but was tranquilised in time near the railway station.”
It has yet to be reported what will happen to the monkey next.
The news comes after a full-scale investigation was launched in South Africa following the poisoning of an entire family of monkeys.
Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, an official organisation tackling animal issues, was first altered on Tuesday morning. A local Zululand Yacht Club noticed several monkey corpses.
After a recovery, six monkeys were found dead and one was placed under critical veterinary care. “So far, six monkeys have been affected; four on Tuesday and two on Wednesday,” said Richards Bay, an SPCA inspector.
