Erik ten Hag points warning to Man Utd flop Antony after one minute of motion
Erik ten Hag has warned Manchester United flop Antony he has to earn his place in the team.
The Brazilian winger has been given the cold shoulder at United so far this season. Antony has cut a frustrated figure, having played just one minute of action as a substitute against Brighton.
It remains to be seen if Ten Hag decides to recall Antony when United host Barnsley in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night. But Ten Hag has made it clear he will only pick players who impress him with the right attitude and application in training.

Antony has been a huge disappointment since joining United from Ajax in an £86m deal in 2022, to become the club’s second most expensive signing behind Paul Pogba.
The 24-year-old is currently being kept out of Ten Hag’s starting XI by Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo.
And Ten Hag has told him he has to prove himself worthy of a starting place.
He said: “You will see what the line-up will be. We have training every day and the players have to earn the right.
“When the attitude is good and they show performance in training, then they will play.”
Ten Hag, meanwhile, has been boosted by the news Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt are both available for selection.
The duo were withdrawn in the second half of Saturday’s 3-0 win over Southampton, but have proved their fitness.
