England icon cheated on spouse with receptionist who he married and cheated on
David Seaman’s life was a movie between the sticks – and even more so away from the pitch.
Seaman, who turns 61 on Thursday, was a regular for Arsenal and the England national team during his playing days in a career that spanned over two decades.
And it was during his early career when Seaman married his first wife and childhood sweetheart Sandra in 1985 – the couple were married for ten years, having two children together. However, they went their separate ways when he confessed to an affair with Gunners’ receptionist Debbie.

Three years later, David and Debbie had tied the knot. He said: “This time, it’s for good.”
The couple had two children together and she stood by his side as he retired from football in 2004 after 22 years – by now, Seaman was a household name, largely thanks to Ronaldinho’s delightful chip in the 2002 World Cup.
However, there was another twist in his love life after the former pro appeared on Dancing on Ice in 2006. Although he was partnered with Pam O’Connor, it was fellow pro-dancer Frankie Poultney, who was 36 at the time, who caught the eye of the shot-stopper.
Debbie was left “devastated”, according to the Daily Mail, and she said: “There’s no turning back now, though, as I have two young children to think about. As far as I’m concerned Frankie is welcome to him.”
Seaman admitted to the affair during divorce proceedings. Seaman ended up moving into a £500,000 riverside home in Buckinghamshire with Frankie just three months after he left Debbie. They married in 2015.
Frankie said: “Everybody loves David when they first meet him. He’s got such an infectious laugh. He’s so funny all the time. He’s always happy.
“We’re both from South Yorkshire – he’s from Rotherham and I’m from Sheffield – so we connected on that level and we found we had a lot in common because we’re both athletes, we’ve both toured our whole lives and we have the same sense of humour.
“We’re so lucky we found each other.”
