Scottie Scheffler’s mind-blowing monetary take care of caddie after bagging £47m
American golf sensation Scottie Scheffler has shed light on his financial dealings with his caddie after amassing nearly £50m this year alone.
The 28-year-old golfer had a stellar 2024, bagging his second Masters title in April and rounding off the year by clinching the FedEx Cup, which alone netted him £19m. In between, he secured numerous PGA Tour titles and top-10 finishes.
In truly staggering figures, Scheffler raked in an average of £2.5 million per tournament, £628,000 per round and £9,000 per shot. Naturally, this significantly boosted the bank balance of his caddie, Ted Scott, who is in a league of his own among bag carriers.

Even before Scheffler won the FedEx Cup, Scott had already pocketed just over £2million on the PGA Tour. This would have ranked him 58th on the PGA Tour players’ money list, even surpassing three-time major winner Jordan Spieth, a close pal of Scheffler’s.
Typically, a caddie will receive 10% of their player’s victory purse, 7% for a top 10 finish and 5% for anything else. Given the enormous amounts involved, Scheffler employs individuals to handle his finances, reports the Express.

Explaining how it works with Scott, the golf star revealed on the Pardon My Take podcast: “We have a girl that helps us pay bills basically because I’m a child and I can’t keep track of all that stuff!
“She quickly took over that job and texts me at the end of each week, saying, “Hey, this is how much we’re paying Ted”. I’m like, “That’s great”.”
Scott, who toted clubs for Bubba Watson for 15 years, shared a bible study group with Scheffler before teaming up. Scheffler admits that Scott’s faith played a big part in his recruitment, gushing over his caddie, “I just think the world of him as a person so that was why I was attracted to him just being a potential good partner for me out on the course. I really want to work with a Christian. That’s how I try to live my life.”
Scott isn’t just a bag carrier; he boasts a handicap of four and runs a side hustle coaching golf online. Spilling the beans on his split from double-major champ Watson, Scott said, “Bubba and I are still very good friends. We just had different ideas about where we are and where we wanted to go.”
