Brits would save their pets earlier than the inlaws if aliens ever invade
Millions of Brits would rush to save their pet before their in-laws or distant relatives if aliens invaded the planet.
Around 21% said they would grab their furry friends first if little green men took over Earth. But only 10% admitted they would rush to help relatives such as their mother or father in-laws or cousins.
The findings were carried out by Layered Reality, the company behind Jeff Wayne’s The War of The World: The Immersive Experience.

Neil Mullins, a plumber from Cardiff, said: “There’s not a cat in hell’s chance I’d be helping my mother in law if the apocalypse came. If anything I’d hand her straight over – I’m pretty sure she’s one of them anyway.”
Andrew McGuinness, CEO of Layered Reality, said: “It’s no surprise that the UK is a nation of animal lovers, and our research shows just how strong that bond is. In the event of a catastrophe like the Martian invasion in Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience, many Brits would prioritise their pets over anything else.
“As a dog owner myself, I get it – our pets are family. In fact, if it came down to it, I’m pretty sure even my wife and kids would save our pet Marley before they even thought about me!”
The poll also revealed that 5% of randy people would have sex with the nearest person if they thought the world was about to end.
