Furious sisters posted bare pics of father’s lover in ‘act of rage’

Two sisters who shared photos of their dad’s lover did so in an alleged ‘rage’ – but are now facing prison and the end to their careers.

Sophie and Ellie Brown discovered their dad was cheating on their mum with another woman and saw red. They wanted revenge, and the best thing they could find was a series of saucy photos from the other woman.

The girls deliberated on what to do after they discovered the naked photos. At first, they wanted to upload them to selling site Gumtree with an advertisement for her sexual services for £5.

Deciding against that, they shared the photos on an escort site. In the description, Sophie and Ellie added the number of the other woman’s husband, so he would be inundated with calls asking for sex.

While the sisters thought they’d found the perfect opportunity for revenge, their plan backfired. Sophie was a police officer and was forced to give up her job as a patrol officer.

Ellie has been told she may face prison for sharing private photos without consent. Revenge porn sentences became stricter earlier this year, with more immediate and strict punishments for images being shared.

The pair’s mum and dad, Sarah and Geoff, are seemingly planning to stay together. They both live in a family home worth £300,000 located in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.

While Ellie lives in her own house in Leeds, it’s understood that Sophie still lives at home with her parents. Neighbours of the family were shocked when the news came out.

“As far as anyone was aware they’ve been living as a happy family unit and are genuinely nice people. The eldest daughter has been living there but the youngest has her own place,” a neighbour told The Sun.

“It’s sad to see them in this predicament, with one in deep trouble and Sophie losing her police job, which she didn’t have for very long.”

The girls did not share the photos of the other woman until seven years after Sarah discovered the affair. Before that, the family were close and loving, and frequently engaged in hobbies such as horse riding and going on holiday.

“What the sisters did was a very inflammatory response — an emotional reaction,” said criminal psychologist Naomi Murphy, adding: “It’s not the sort of thing you do if you’ve festered for seven years and I wonder if they had just happened upon the pictures of their victim.

“Some sort of rage has taken over. Something has happened to trigger this response.”

Ellie is being sentenced next month, with Judge Alexander Menary saying it is “almost inevitable” that she will be jailed.

She had denied two counts of sharing private photographs without consent, but changed her plea to guilty just before she was due to give evidence in her own defence in the second week of the trial.

Judge Alexander Menary said her admission of guilt had come at the ‘eleventh hour and 59th minute’.

At her disciplinary hearing Sophie Brown admitted exchanging messages with her sister, but denied setting up the profile herself.
