Erling Haaland rants ‘keep humble’ at Arteta and calls ex-Man City ace ‘clown’
Manchester City star Erling Haaland told Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to “stay humble” just seconds before calling Gabriel Jesus a “f***ing clown.”
The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw which had a bit of everything on Sunday afternoon at the Etihad, with City finding an equaliser late on in injury-time through John Stones. It was Haaland who opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola’s side before goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel put the Gunners in front heading into the break.
However, the whole game was flipped on its head when Michael Oliver sent off Leandro Trossard for kicking the ball away after having blown his whistle with the Belgian already on a yellow. And the visitors’ perceived time-wasting antics had the home side furious.

The second half saw Arsenal defend resiliently, only to fall at the last hurdle when Stones City’s late equaliser. And after the game, Sky Sports cameras caught Haaland taunting Arteta before calling Jesus, a former City player, a “f***ing clown.”
“Stay humble eh, stay humble eh,” Haaland told the former City assistant manager, patting the Spaniard on the back after the game. Arteta proceeded to give Haaland a stern stare after the interaction, only for Jesus to get involved.
“Come, come why you saying you talking,” the Brazilian told Haaland squaring up to the City striker. Haaland replied: “Talking about what, I wasn’t talking f***ing clown.”
“Don’t touch me,” replied Jesus to which Haaland responded: “What you talking about, get the f*** away you f***ing clown.”
City winger Jack Grealish then managed to pull Haaland away from the confrontation before Arteta dragged his players away. The Arsenal boss could be heard saying: “Ben [White], Gabby, Gabby, Gabby.”
It also wasn’t the only altercation Haaland was involved in either. The Norwegian striker, who has scored 10 goals in five Premier League games this term, squared up to Gabriel during the 2-2 draw at the Etihad. Haaland was also caught throwing the ball at the back of the Brazilian’s head after Stones’ goal.
And in injury-time, he managed to steamroller Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey too, flattening the Ghanaian after the restart.
The late equaliser from Stones means City remain top of the Premier League, a point clear of Liverpool and Aston Villa in second and third place respectively. Arsenal meanwhile sit fourth on 11 points, two points behind City.
