Prince Andrew’s destiny ‘determined’ as various residing association ‘dominated out’

Prince Andrew’s potential alternative residence has been ruled out as his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, has decided to rent it out.

The Duke of York, who is currently under pressure from his brother King Charles to leave Royal Lodge, had hoped to pass on the mansion, estimated to be worth £30 million, to his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.

However, King Charles is keen for him to relocate to a smaller property and plans to cease funding his security detail next month in an attempt to persuade him. Despite this, Andrew remains steadfast in his decision to stay put, with sources stating that it’s a “no-brainer” for him to move.

According to the Daily Mail, one potential new home is no longer available. The Duchess of York, fondly known as ‘Fergie’, owns a £4.25m London townhouse which was seen as perfect for the pair.

However, she is now renting it out for £16,000 a month, effectively removing it as an option. The two-bedroom property is situated in the posh area of Belgravia, just a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace.

The annual income of £192,000 from the property wouldn’t even cover half of the maintenance costs of Royal Lodge, which boasts 90 acres of land, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

Royal insiders have spilt the tea on why Frogmore Cottage remains the King’s top pick for Prince Andrew, despite a swanky Belgravia townhouse being in the cards. A little birdie told us, “Relocating to a luxury townhouse is a move that most people could only dream of, and it would save the Yorks £200,000 per year – it’s a no-brainer.”

They dished out more saying, “It’s time for the Yorks to be independent, they’ve got a long-term lease with the Crown Estate and if they can pay their fully independent means to live at Royal Lodge, they’re very welcome to, but they need the right security for a building of that size. If they can find the money that’s great, but if they can’t then a smaller property would be much less expensive.”

Plus, we’ve heard that Beatrice and Eugenie are down as the proud owners of the Balgravie pad, with the dosh coming from what they nabbed in inheritance from the late legends Prince Philip and The Queen mum. It was all talked up as an “investment” for Fergie, but it looks like her princess lasses will be the ones laughing all the way to the bank.
