Israeli hostage’s Hamas horror – ‘wearing doll garments to hunger tunnels’
A freed Israeli hostage has outlined her hellish captivity at the hands of Hamas terrorists who starved her for days at a time.
Aviva Siegel, 63, spoke to NBC about the grim conditions she and other Israeli hostages faced in Gaza tunnels after they were abducted on October 7, 2023. Aviva’s husband Keith is still being detained by the terror group.
“Keith and I nearly died in the tunnel because there was no oxygen, and I’ve been talking about it over and over and over – hard stories,” Aviva told NBC.

She described how she was kept from food for “24 hours or even more” while being forced to lie on “filthy, dirty mattresses” and ordered not to move or speak while in the cramped tunnels.
She said: “I was there in those same conditions and I thought that I’m going to die all the time.”
Siegel was freed in November last year, and said Hamas members would dress them in “dolls clothes”, turning them “into puppets with whom they could do what they wanted, when they wanted, and it’s beyond belief that they’re still there.”
There are currently still four Americans still trapped in Gaza – Aviva’s husband Keith Siegel, along with Omer Neutra, Edan Alexander and Sagui Dekel-Chen.
It is nearing a year since the Hamas slaughter of 1,200 Israelis on October 7, while more than 40,000 Palestinians have now been killed by Israel since the attack, according to Gaza health officials.
It comes after expert Professor Anthony Glees told the Daily Star Israel has increased the intensity of its strikes in Lebanon, killing 500 and injuring 2,000 more – and now the Middle East is approaching the “end game”.
He said: “We are, of course, seeing terrifying escalation – on Israel’s part,” he said. “The question is where will this end.”
