Former Premier League membership unveil pics of latest stadium that may double capability

Former Premier League side Luton Town have unveiled images of what their proposed new 25,000 seater stadium will look like once it’s built.

The Hatters are slowly readjusting to life in the second tier of English football after suffering relegation last season. A poor start to the current campaign has been turned around by boss Rob Edwards with wins in their last two league games steering them clear of trouble.

Off the pitch, things are looking up with a new state-of-the-art stadium set to be completed within the next three years. Whilst Kenilworth Road only underwent a refurb last year, it’s nothing compared to what the new ground ‘Power Court’ is expected to look like.

AI images released by the club show the striking structure of the ground with the floodlights rising above the stands and acting like a halo. The venue will be multi-purpose and aims to help regenerate the whole town with a capacity of 25,000 – double the size of Kenilworth Road.

All four stands are separate and different with a Kop-like structure pictured behind one of the goals. The main stand will host a museum, club shop, cafe, and hospitality boxes and it will look like a more traditional modern ground rather than the soulless bowl structure that tends to be used these days.

The new stadium has been a long time coming for the club who are making the most of the revenue earned whilst playing in the Premier League. Kenilworth Road whilst historic needs major improvement with last year’s renovation the first since it opened in 1905.

Their current stomping ground went viral last year for the fact that you could see into people’s back gardens on the walk up to the away end, which just goes to show how old school it is.

Supporters were quick to react to the images on social media, sayig that the design “looks incredible”. Another posted on X: “I can’t wait to choose my seat.”

Many neutrals were also pleased with the news, with one football fan saying: “Never a more deserving club.”

The investment in the new build is a great example of how money earned through promotion to the Premier League can have a lasting impact.
