Jermaine Jenas already lined up for brand spanking new job weeks after BBC sexting scandal axe
Jermaine Jenas is reportedly in discussions for a radio comeback, just a month after the BBC dropped him from his TV roles due to a sexting scandal.
The ex-footballer is said to be considering a new position at talkSPORT.
It is the same station where he made an awkward live appearance as a guest right after allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ were made public on August 22.
An insider revealed to the Mirror: “Jermaine has already held meetings with talkSPORT bosses and both sides are hopeful of agreeing a deal.

“He knows he has done wrong, but it shouldn’t stop him from having a career in the media. “He’s keen to get his life back on track and returning to work is a key part of that. ” It’s suggested that the former Spurs and QPR star Jenas will likely serve as a pundit rather than hosting his own show.”
The father-of-four was let go from his roles on The One Show and Match of the Day by the BBC, where he earned £190,000 for his football commentary, reports the Mirror.
He confessed to sending messages to female colleagues on The One Show and expressed his apologies to the women who received them.
In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, his dad Dennis, 63, disclosed that the star was eager to salvage his marriage to his wife of 13 years, Ellie, admitting his dismissal had left him emotionally distraught.
The football coach also defended his son, stating he believed the BBC had dealt with him harshly, following the reform of workplace culture guidelines in the wake of the Huw Edwards and Strictly Come Dancing scandals.
In an emotional video to his 211,000 fans, Jenas shared: “Listen, some exciting stuff that I’ve been working on, so you’ll all have that to look forward to very soon. Hopefully I’ll be back talking about what I love, which is football.”
“I’ve been living the life of those Spurs fans – up and down, up and down. Forest getting great results at Anfield and playing well.
“So I’ve been watching, but I’m looking forward to getting back and talking about what I love most. So last of all, thank you very much and I’ll see you soon.”
From his plush £8million North London pad, Jenas confessed: “It’s clearly been a difficult period for me, but one that I’ll definitely grow from. We’re human beings, that’s what it is.”
“You’ll learn from it. You’ll become a better person. Those are the things that are important in life.”
“None of us are perfect and we’ve just got to find a way to keep moving forward, look after our babies and our families in the best way we possibly can.”
“That’s something that I’ll be trying to do. Mainly [I wanted to say] thank you, really. It’s been really nice, the level of support you’ve shown me.”
TalkSPORT has become something of a haven for broadcasters caught up in controversy.
