‘I attempted Tesco’s new curry vary and one dish was an instantaneous hit’
There’s nothing quite like savouring one of the nation’s favourite meals. I had the pleasure of sampling Pinch, a fresh food brand specialising in tantalising Indian dishes.
Pinch has just made its debut at Tesco, where I was able to taste test their new offerings. The Pinch range draws inspiration from contemporary Indian fusion and street food, offering a scrumptious home alternative to a restaurant meal, without the hefty price tag.
Some of the dishes on offer include Sensational Saag Paneer and Coconut Basmati Rice, Rich Railway Lamb Curry and Coconut Basmati Rice, Flavour Flamin’ Overloaded Chicken Tikka Naan and Magic Masala Spiced Chips with Pink Velvet Dip. These microwave meals provide a quick and easy solution for lunch or dinner, with each curry priced at £4.50.
Sampling the Flavour Flamin’ Overloaded Chicken Tikka Naan left me slightly disappointed, as I was hoping for a more robust flavour. However, the Rich Railway Lamb Curry and Coconut Basmati Rice offered plenty of depth in terms of taste, with tender lamb and coconut rice adding a hint of sweetness to the dish.
A standout from the new range is the Magic Masala Spiced Chips with Pink Velvet Dip. For those who enjoy a spicy kick, this dish hits the spot and adds a fun twist to the classic potato dish, reports the Express.
Pinch also offers sides such as Bombaylicious Potato Bombs, Sizzle and Spice Chicken Tikka, Bombay Potatoes, and Spiced Sweet Potato and Creamy Coconut Samosas, all priced at £3 at the supermarket giant.
Despite the lack of traditional Indian flavours in both dishes, the standout item was the Kickin’ Fried Chicken and Pink Velvet Dip, priced at £3.75 in Tesco. The chicken was tender, tasty, and perfectly spiced to tantalise the tastebuds.
