Teacher who made boy have intercourse at commencement gave him two issues to win him over
A teacher who coerced a 14-year-old student into having sex on graduation day gave him two things to win him over.
The family of the boy has alleged in a new lawsuit that he was left traumatised by now-convicted sex offender Michelle Christine Solis, 46, who was a teacher at Sycamore Middle School, California.
They claim the school failed to protect the boy from being groomed and sexually assaulted by Solis, who forced the 14-year-old into having sex on his eighth-grade graduation day – as well as giving him a lunch and recess pass to try and win him over.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.
Fresh allegation in the suit, seen by the Sacramento Bee, claim Solis organised meet-ups with the student under the guise of helping him with his homework, just so they could spend more time alone together.
The mum-of-two is said to have befriended the boy by slipping into his DMs on Instagram and chatting to him for weeks before their first encounter, as per official documents.
Solis is then alleged to have brought the student into a classroom on his graduation day before locking the door and coercing him into sex. It’s claimed she then sent pictures to him of their illicit meet-up with instructions to delete the conversation between them, says Butte County District Attorney’s Office.
Nude photos of the teacher then spread throughout the town of Gridley, 50 miles north of Sacramento, and police looked into the boy’s phone – finding messages to the teacher and two naked photos.
The lawsuit claims the Gridley Unified School District failed to properly monitor Solis’ behaviour and did not train other teachers to properly detect grooming. The family is seeking “general damages and other non-economic relief” for the physical, mental and emotional injuries sustained by the student.
The boy’s attorney Mark Boskovich told the Sacramento Bee the sex crime had had a lasting effect on him. He revealed: “He is back in the classroom where he had no control of the situation and felt helpless.”
Solis, who had a 20-year teaching career, was sentenced to four years behind bars back in July and will have to register as a sex offender. She is serving time at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla.
