Demi Lovato’s UFC star ex-boyfriend Guilherme ‘Bomba’ Vasconcelos dies at 38
Former UFC star Guilherme ‘Bomba’ Vasconcelos has died at the age of 38.
The Brazilian MMA fighter, who famously dated pop star Demi Lovato in 2017, also competed in Bellator during his fighting career. Vasconcelos, who had a baby daughter with model Kayla Lauren, is said to have died in Los Angeles. However, his cause of death is not yet known.
His uncle, Walter, announced his death. He said: “We were looking forward to your visit for Christmas, which will no longer happen. “Life is fleeting, and we woke up to this devastating news. What a time we live in.

“We pray for you! May God, who can do all things, welcome you in His infinite mercy and comfort all who have always loved you!”
Vasconcelos posted a photo outside a Jiu-Jitsu school on Instagram less than 24 hours before his death was announced. He earned a record of 10-6 across multiple MMA promotions over the course of his seven-year fighting career.
Vasconcelos and singer Lovato were first spotted together in 2017, as they celebrated New Year’s Eve in LA, before watching a film together the following day.
They later started dating, with the Confident singer telling Entertainment Tonight their relationship was “going really good” and they were “having fun”, adding Vasconcelos “makes me laugh”.
The 32-year-old pop sensation said watching her man fight made her nervous but she too had started training in MMA. Lovato said: “He does cage fighting. It’s really dangerous. There are rules but you are in a cage.
“You can’t kick them in a certain area. There’s other rules but I don’t really know all of them. Yeah of course [I get nervous] but he mostly wins. I don’t feel bad. It’s a sport.”
But they parted ways in the following July and reports at the time said their relationship “had run its course”.
