Children’s mushy play slammed after adorned with physique luggage hanging the wrong way up

A soft play centre has taken their Halloween decorations a little too far, leaving parents in a state of shock, after seeing the slightly too realistic setup.

Rugrats and Halfpints in Cirencester had adorned their soft play centre with rather life-like hanging body bag decorations, in a bid to give the centre a more spooky Halloween vibe.

The macabre decorations, which were hung upside down from poles behind the play area netting, were made of black bin bags tied up and made to resemble human bodies.

With a number of the DIY “body bags” wrapped in ‘Caution’ and ‘Danger’ tape, further adding to the authenticity of the display.

The horrified mum was worried her kids were going to ask her what the decorations were

After visiting the soft play centre, and spotting the terrifying Halloween props, parents were left ‘horrified’.

One mum, who spoke to Sky News, said: “When I saw them I did a double take – surely that can’t be what I think it is?”

The shocked mum explained that she really ‘didn’t want to have to explain to my kid’ what the hanging bags were meant to represent.

The decorations were positioned in a place where only the kids would see them

She also revealed that the bags were positioned at the very back of the soft play centre, in an area that can’t be seen from the cafe, which meant that most parents wouldn’t have seen them, unless they’d ventured into the soft play itself.

She added: “I spoke to some other parents after, who were as shocked as I was that it was deemed appropriate. It’s a great soft play, but that did shock me a bit.”

A spokesperson for the soft play told Sky News: “This is the first time someone has brought it to our attention so of course due to this we will take them down immediately.

“It wasn’t to cause distress and we apologise if this is how they have felt.”
