Linda Evangelista made a rare public appearance with her son Augustin James Evangelista Pinault, who supported her at the 2024 Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards held at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto last Saturday.
The 59-year-old Canadian supermodel – who boasts 1.5M Instagram followers – wrote that it ‘meant the world to me’ to have family with her at the ceremony where Erdem designer Erdem Moralıoğlu presented her with the Vanguard Award.
‘[Growing up] in St. Catharines, my family rarely came around the lake to Toronto. This was the big city. So tonight, to be here with my family, is incredibly special,’ Linda said onstage – according to Vogue.
‘For me, fashion has always been a place where dreams, aspirations, and inspirations flourish. The beauty of fashion is there is no right or wrong way of creating it; fashion allows each of us to choose not only how we see ourselves but how we present ourselves to the world.’
Evangelista slipped her statuesque 5ft9in figure into a silver-embellished skirt suit by, who else, Erdem as well as chrome pumps.
