Heartbroken households pay tribute to victims of horror M6 crash

These are the four tragic members of the same family who died in a car crash on the M6 – as the surviving son continues to fight for his life in hospital.

Jaroslaw Rossa, 42, and his two of his sons, Filip Rossa, 15, and Dominic Rossa, seven, were killed when their Toyota was involved in a crash on the M6 near Tebay services in Cumbria.

Mother Jade McEnroe, 33, who was a passenger in the vehicle, also died. Her son Arran Martin, seven, is currently in a coma fighting for his life at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

In tribute to their daughter, Jade’s parents said: ‘Our beloved daughter Jade, you are so loved, and we will miss you every day. You are a very much-loved mummy to Arran.’

Filip and Dominic’s mother Kamila said she was ‘heartbroken’ by the loss of her two ‘beloved angels’, who she described as ‘extremely caring’ and ‘full of love’.

In tribute to her sons, Kamila said: ‘We are heartbroken at the passing of our beloved angels – Filip and Dominic.

‘Filip was very intelligent, sensitive and full of love. We will never forget his smile, open arms, and the words “tuli, tuli” (hugs, hugs).

‘He was fascinated by computer games but also incredibly good at chess. He loved chemistry and dreamed of studying at the University of Glasgow.

‘Dominic was always smiling, very resolute and sociable. He was extremely caring, always thinking of others first, and the first to help if someone was in trouble.

‘Always surrounded by a group of friends of all ages. He loved dinosaurs and Pokémon, but most of all he loved penguins and dreamed of adopting one.

‘Our lives will never be the same again.’

Arran’s father also added: ‘I would like to thank everyone for their kind messages, to the emergency services and the members of the public that assisted at the scene.’

Ms McEnroe and her family had been making their way back to Glasgow after a getaway in Legoland, when the horror fireball smash occurred on the M6 at around 4pm on October 15.

Arran had been travelling with the family and was airlifted from the wreckage by air ambulance.

A friend of the family said they were ‘heartbroken’ and that everyone who knew the family had been ‘floored’ by the news.

They said: ‘Our thoughts are with her son and everyone else in the family.’

Another friend Margaret Snodgrass knew Jade through her daughter Nicola, who died in a car crash 18 years ago.

The 54-year-old described her as a ‘good mother’ and a ‘lovely girl’ adding: ‘What can you say? It’s just heartbreaking, just unbelievable.

‘It is devastating, and I know how it feels. My thoughts are with them all.’

Ms Snodgrass also shared a photograph of family members said to be involved in the tragedy as she wrote: ‘Heartbreaking such a lovely girl just pray for Arran and thoughts to all at this sad time x.’

She added: ‘Still can’t believe it. I’ve known the family for about 20 years or more used to be pals with my Nicola such a lovely family so sad.’

Tributes from friends have poured in on social media, with one woman named Claire Watt writing: ‘Words are absolutely failing me at this moment.

‘Jade McEnroe I cannot get what has happened out my mind. Absolutely devastating my heart goes out to both families,’ she continued.
