Liam Gallagher has been mercilessly mocked by fans for looking like he works at Lidl after he modelled a £400 red, yellow and blue jacket with Berghaus.
The Oasis singer, 52, stars in a new photoshoot with the fashion brand to celebrate ‘iconic reunions in 2024’ ahead of his much-anticipated tour with his brother Noel, 57, next year.
Liam had owned a jacket by the esteemed outerwear brand in the 1990s before Oasis found fame.
Fans couldn’t help notice because of the jacket’s colours, it bore a striking resemblance to the logo of the budget supermarket brand.
One user wrote on Instagram: ‘Lidl are asking for their staff back’ and emblazoned their comment with two crying-laughing emoji.

Even the Irish social media team for Lidl got involved, as they left two confused emojis in response.
In an even more savage comment, one fan questioned: ‘Why does Liam look like a Venezuelan dictator?’
But some fans seemed to approve of the strikingly-coloured coat, as one wrote: ‘Cool jacket, the Berghaus was the jacket to have in those early rave days’.
Even music star Professor Green gave his approval, and left three fire emojis.
The coat retails at £400, and it comes after the Wonderwall singer offered to do a concert in the supermarket.
Liam was also scheduled to perform on his Definitely Maybe anniversary tour at the troubled Manchester venue Co-op Live on June 15 and 16, and June 27 and 28.
But after the venue axed a series of gigs, including those by comedian Peter Kay and American singer Olivia Rodrigo, the singer that he would play at Lidl instead.

Replying to a fan who asked if his gigs in June were still going ahead, Gallagher said: ‘I hope so surely they’ll have it sorted by then.

Replying to a fan who asked what the plan was if Co-op Live was to cancel his Manchester performances, the star said: ‘Gig in Lidl.’
The brand, who recently collaborated with former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon for their new advert, are known for their tongue-in-cheek social media posts.
Oasis announced their long-awaited reunion on August 27 after many had thought they would never get back together
But Noel and Liam will reunite for their first UK show since their split at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, 2025, and recently announced their support act.
The last time the brothers performed together was on August 22 2009 at V Festival in Staffordshire.
