Trump accuses Starmer and Labour of US election interference in astonishing transfer

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has filed a formal complaint accusing the Labour Party and US Vice President Kamala Harris of election interference.

The complaint, submitted to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), alleges that Labour provided “illegal foreign campaign contributions” by organising British activists to work for Harris’s campaign in key battleground states.

In a statement, Susie Wiles, Trump’s campaign manager, claimed that the Harris campaign, facing dwindling domestic support, is now relying on foreign assistance to gain an advantage.

“The flailing Harris-Walz campaign is seeking foreign influence to boost its radical message – because they know they can’t win the American people,” said Wiles.

“The Harris campaign’s acceptance and use of this illegal foreign assistance is just another feeble attempt in a long line of anti-American election interference.”

The accusations stem from reports that Labour Party staff facilitated a trip for approximately 100 activists to travel to the US and campaign for Vice President Harris.

The activists have been reportedly canvassing in critical swing states such as North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Labour officials have not yet responded to the Trump campaign’s allegations.

The FEC is expected to review the complaint as part of its oversight of foreign involvement in US elections, an issue that has become a hot-button topic in recent political cycles.

The Trump team’s move comes as both campaigns intensify efforts to gain an edge in the upcoming presidential election, with battleground states likely to play a decisive role in determining the outcome.

The involvement of foreign nationals in US elections is strictly regulated, and any proven violations could result in significant legal repercussions.
