Warped Shannon Matthews musical branded ‘sick and bang out of order’

A shocking musical movie based on the bizarre Shannon Matthews kidnapping case is set for release next month.

The warped film is the brainchild of outrageous singer songwriter ‘K**t and the Gang.’

Its songs include ‘Shannon Ain’t Dead (She’s under me bed)’, ‘You’re A Paedophile’ and ‘Karen Calls The Maddie Hotline’.

Last night, the controversial producer said: “There will be lots of Mumsnet Karens losing their sh*t about whether this should be allowed. Nearly all of them won’t have seen it or would never watch it, but that won’t stop them from wading in!”

The film has a 9 out of 10 rating on IMDB, with one fan saying: “I had the privilege of seeing this twice during the premiere weekend and I was blown away

. My sides likely need medical attention from laughing so much. On the surface, the topic is a tough one to tackle, but as a fan of gallows humour being the best way to deal with anything serious I love it.”

Another said: “In reality it is one of the bravest movies ever made. Tackling a tricky subject by only making fun of the culprits. Very clever on doing this for one of the strangest crimes ever committed.”

The supposed disappearance of nine-year-old Shannon from Dewesbury, West Yorks, sparked a major manhunt in February 2008.
But she was found alive three weeks later in the house of an acquaintance recruited by her mum, Karen.

She quickly became one of Britain’s most hated women after it emerged the pair had planned a sick plot to get cash from publicity and claim the £50,000 reward money.

K**t and the Gang’s film description reads: “West Yorkshire’s worst case of absolute stupidity is brought to the silver screen for the very first time. You can now split your sides at a comedy, about a drama, that once split the population of Dewsbury.”

But critics say the production should never have been made.

Dewsbury West councillor Ammar Anwar previously said: “The musical is sick and bang out of order. Imagine being that poor lass Shannon and reliving these cruel and sadistic moments again.”

The film will be available to stream on Amazon, iTunes and Google Play from November 15.

There are also seven live shows planned for December across the country from York to London and K**t claims some are nearly sold out.
