Blackmail sufferer of racy mannequin says he felt ‘trapped’ and couldn’t ‘hire or pay payments’

A bloke who was caught in a adult content blackmail scam has spoken out about the suffering it caused.

The victim was targeted by Swindon-based OnlyFans model Bethan Guy, who demanded that the married man cough up additional money, after he bought explicit photos of her, otherwise she would expose his wandering eye to his wife.

The Swindon Crown Court heard that the 29-year-old swindled £450 from her victim, who went to the police after she demanded more money.

Guy was charged with blackmail, and was handed a two-year suspended sentence for her heartless actions, Wiltshire 999s reports.

Bethan’s victim said he felt ‘helpless and trapped’ by her actions

The victim, whose identity remains anonymous, told the court in a statement that he felt “trapped and helpless”.

It continued: “I didn’t have enough money to pay my rent and bills, which was a huge strain for me.

“I felt I had no choice but to pay the money, as she had made the threats very clear and I was afraid of the devastating affect it would have on my life if I didn’t pay.”

The court also ruled that Guy must pay back the £450 to the victim at a rate of £50 a month.

She threatened to expose the man to his wife to ‘devastating’ results

Wiltshire Police Detective Constable Emma Rossiter explained that Bethan had met her victim on Snapchat where she was selling “adult photos” of herself.

She added: “She then began threatening to tell his partner if he did not hand over money.

“Sadly we are seeing increasing numbers of people being blackmailed through social media sites.”

The cop urged victims of this type of crime to “remember, whatever has happened is not your fault, even though you might have been told it is”.

Bethan described her actions as a ‘small mistake’

She added: “We understand that it might be difficult to report this type of crime to us but we are here to listen and help where we can.”

In July, Guy described her actions as a “mistake and stupidity”, on an Instagram post. The post went on: “If I could go back to the moment it happened I would because it honestly was just a mistake but this small mistake has now cost me so much pain and dread I can’t even explain.

“If I could give anyone advice it’ll be don’t think you’re untouchable because something will catch up one day.”
