Unhinged lady trashes grieving couple’s sentimental Halloween show in 30-minute rampage

Wild video captured the moment an Ohio woman viciously destroyed a Halloween display in front of a home whose owners had just lost their son.

Christina Horvath, 48, was arrested in connection with the 30-minute rampage that occurred on October 7 in broad daylight.

Horvath allegedly caused $1,000-worth of damages to the Zellers’ Toledo home but the broken decorations that the Zellers had made with their son who died in a motorcycle accident were priceless.

‘I cried like a baby, honestly,’ Shannon Zeller told KBTX. ‘I felt bad over the memories that are attached to some of the items that she broke.’

Footage taken by neighbors allegedly shows Horvath raining destruction down upon the Zellers’ festive display.

In the clips, she can be seen striking decorative graves and fake spider webs with a metal rod.

She can then be seen feverishly picking up plastic skeletons and launching them into the street.

At another point, the woman savagely batters the small Gothic fence that the family erected around the yard.

'I cried like a baby, honestly,' Shannon Zeller said when she discovered that the decorations she had made with her late son were destroyed

Then the 48-year-old gets resourceful and wields a plastic coffin and uses it to whack other decorations.

In one of clips, she appears to have worked herself into such a frenzied state that she trips over some of the fake spiderwebs and collapses on the ground.

Concerned neighbors quickly notified the Zellers that someone was laying their beloved Halloween display to waste.

‘They said that somebody was in our yard and destroying all of our decorations,’ Zeller said.

The family is unclear about what provoked the attack. The Zellers had never met Horvath, whose rampage allegedly lasted 30 minutes and caused extensive damage

‘Some of [the decorations] we can’t put a dollar amount on because we made it.

‘We have handmade stuff that we made with our children. Unfortunately we lost our son in a motorcycle accident. There’s a lot of memories here.’

Christina Horvath now faces charges of criminal damaging and theft, as she was recorded smuggling different items of property into her car.

Only two weeks before the incident, she was booked into the Lucas County Jail after she allegedly threw a rock through the windshield of a vehicle.

The Zellers don’t know what led Horvath to target their property, but they hope she receives proper medical care.

‘I don’t know what it was. There were speculations, but I hope she gets the treatments that she needs,’ Shannon said.

The family is taking the situation in stride, and they are now trying to work the damages into the display.

Next to a skeleton sitting astride a wrecking ball, the Zellers put up a sign that said: ‘She Came in Like a Wreckin’ Ball,’ evoking Miley Cyrus’ famous music video.

‘I said, “Well, what can I do to just leave it as it is and make it fun and kind of make light of it?”

‘I hope everyone else can just see we were just making light of a sad situation.’
