Britain’s dullest man returns:  Pensioner, 72, well-known for his calendars celebrating roundabouts, automobile parks and Jack Grealish’s calves unveils his newest creation

A pensioner and amateur photographer famous for his annual calendars is back with his latest bizarre creation.

Kevin Beresford, 72, first shot to fame in 2003 with his calendar celebrating roundabouts.

It sold 100,000 copies globally and earned Kevin the title of ‘Britain’s dullest man’.

Kevin has also previously produced calendars featuring car parks, allotments, and one dedicated to footballer Jack Grealish‘s calves.

For 2025 Kevin has come up with a celebration of his top 12 mobility scooter riders after getting the idea while in Benidorm during a holiday with friends.

He said: ‘My mate owns an apartment out in Benidorm and invited me to fly out last Christmas.

‘While I was walking about I was amazed just how many people were on mobility scooters so I decided to take some pictures.

‘I went out on Christmas Day and when I saw someone I’d give them a thumbs up and if they returned the thumbs up I took their photo.

‘It was just great fun. I had no idea just how many designs of scooters there were.

‘I even snapped a chap who was dressed in a Santa Claus outfit.

‘There were people on single ones, two-person designs and even ones with off-road tyres.

The pensioner is part of the Dull Men’s Club – an international group which celebrates the ordinary – and says he takes inspiration from the unassuming and dull aspects of life and turns them into art.

Speaking to the Mail in 2023 Kevin said: ‘These calendars don’t sell for the thousands, but it covers the cost for the printing. It gets me out. I do all the design, I make them.

‘It’s fun coming up with different content. I like to capture slice of English life and put that into a format.

‘Artists have always focused on the mundane. Van Gough would paint his pipe on the chair. I am the dullest man in Britain.’

Spanish police have been clamping down on abuse of the scooters, made popular by the likes of Madge in hit TV show Benidorm, over the past few years.

Despite this, scooters have become one of the most popular forms of transport in the resort town, often being hired by holidaying Brits as a handy way to get about.

Kevin added: ‘So far the orders for the calendar have been flooding in and it’s not even the end of October yet.

‘I think Benidorm’s scooter culture has really captured people’s imaginations so I’m hoping we’ll shift a load more before Christmas.’
