Instagram and Facebook go down worldwide as customers report points with the apps

Instagram and Facebook are experiencing issues worldwide as users report problems with the social media app.

Downdetector, a site that monitors online outages, shows issues began around 7am ET, plaguing Americans in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas and other major cities.

The outage has also been reported in the UK, Australia and parts of Europe and Asia.

Users have also cited problems with Facebook Messenger, along with posting content in Instagram.

Meta‘s service status page shows ‘some disruptions’ with its ‘Posting Tool.’
