Living Nostradamus predicts Ruben Amorim’s Man Utd reign however ‘different supervisor could also be higher’
A psychic dubbed the “Living Nostradamus” has weighed in on what to expect from the anticipated new chapter of Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
Athos Salomé claims to have predicted the death of the Queen and Elon Musk’s procurement of Twitter – and now he has given his two pence on the future of the man tipped to be the new boss at Old Trafford. He was quick to tell The Daily Star that football isn’t his area of expertise – but that didn’t stop the mystic man from tapping into his psychic powers to tell these pages that Amorim could be a “good fit for Manchester United”.
He explained the 39-year-old “has the number 6 in the Kabbalah and 6 in Kabbalistic tradition stands for justice. With Sporting CP he proved to have great competence in building competitive teams considering the limits of that club and his marked tactical genius in Portuguese football.
“He is also known for his skills in changing the tempo of a game and, perhaps, getting the best out of the players and these could come [in] handy in the resurrection of Manchester United while perhaps increasing stability in cups.”
However, speaking prior to the news that Amorim’s release clause had been triggered by United, the Living Nostradamus voiced his concerns about the Portuguese jumping ship early from his position as the Sporting boss before the season was out.
The mystic reckons the decision to leave should be deemed a big one by Amorim, with Salomé arguing: “But it has emerged that the Portuguese coach has no intentions of quitting Sporting this winter. The former [player] has set himself objectives with the Portuguese club for this season. But he could leave the team next summer because his contract contained a provision for its cancellation. In this case, I believe that it is not good for him to terminate his current term contract and sign another one.”
Despite having been given the trademark “here we go!” by Fabrizio Romano following news of the release clause triggering, Amorim has been eager to express that nothing is done yet.
He said: “Manchester United is interested. But it’s my choice. Until everything is decided, we won’t be making any noise. I have nothing useful to say. I will take on whatever I want to do, as I have always done.”
But despite Amorim seemingly being the choice of Old Trafford bosses, Salomé has prophesized that a different manager would be the ideal choice.
He said: “When examining Man United’s possibilities and requirements, one person who comes to mind is Xavi Hernández, because he knows possession football and is a skilled team leader during Barcelona’s games.
“He owns the number eight, symbolizing an infinite number in the Kabbalistic system. Xavi’s skills in nurturing young talents and creating a strong philosophy and style of play at Barcelona may fit Manchester United’s vision for the future nicely. He could crack a new and tactical management style, which might be what is required to make the team regain its form in tournaments.”
