Paul Pogba set for comeback as Premier League golf equipment would ‘like to signal him’
Louis Saha claims top level football has missed Paul Pogba.
And Saha reckons clubs will be falling over themselves to sign the former Manchester United star when he completes his ban.
Pogba was looking at having to retire from the game, after being handed a four-year ban for doping offences.
But he has been handed a lifeline after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled earlier this month that he inadvertently took DHEA, a substance that boosts testosterone that is on WADA’s banned list.
It is understood that CAS’ ruling allows Pogba to recommence training in January 2025, with a view to playing again in March the same year. Pogba is expected to leave Juventus when he makes his comeback.
And former France, United and Fulham striker Saha believes Pogba’s comeback will be a boost for the sport.
Saha told Betfred: “I believe any player would want to play with him and any manager would love to have him. Whether that’s a Premier League or Champions League team. Football, as an industry, has missed Paul Pogba.
“It’s similar to Neymar being out injured for a while. Those guys aren’t the types of players that you see often, so we need to appreciate them.”
“I’m sure Paul’s going to be motivated, and everybody’s going to appreciate seeing him again when he returns to football in March. I can’t wait.
“I believe he realises that he’s been given an opportunity to showcase his talent, motivation and focus.”
