Epstein and Trump ‘positioned bets on who’d sleep with Princess Diana first’, writer Michael Wolff claims

Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump placed bets on who would sleep with Princess Diana first, an author claims.

Michael Wolff said that the ‘sex-obsessed’ friends had a competition over who could bed the most women.

Trump chronicler Wolff said he regularly interviewed disgraced financier Epstein for his three books about the former president before his suicide while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

He painted a picture of Trump and Epstein’s playboy lifestyle and told DailyMail.com sleeping with a Royal was considered the ultimate achievement.

‘Diana and the royal family seemed to represent some ultimate ‘get’ for Epstein and Trump, and an ultimate competition,’ Wolff said.

‘At that moment in time Diana was the world’s most famous woman. There was no greater 1980 status symbol.

‘And, partly because sex seemed to be their singular focus, I believe they thought they could sleep with any woman they wanted to, including a princess.’

At the time of the wager, Princess Diana, who was once the most photographed woman in the world, was married to the UK’s now-King Charles III.

The disclosure was made by Wolff during his podcast Fire and Fury, which bears the same name as his 2018 book on the Trump presidency.

During the episode, he also released audio of Epstein discussing the inner working’s of Donald Trump’s administration.

Wolff said the tape was made in a Manhattan restaurant in 2017.

‘His people fight each other,’ Epstein is heard telling Wolff, ‘and then he [Trump] poisons the well outside.’

Epstein and Trump became friends in the 1980s. However, Trump’s team has said that he distanced himself from the convicted pedophile after allegations of sexual abuse against him emerged.

In 2019, Trump said the two had a falling out and had not spoken in 15 years and stated he was, ‘not a fan’.

But before this, Wolff claimed that the men had once shared a girlfriend, although he did not name the woman.

Wolff alleged that Trump was jealous of Epstein’s girlfriends including model Stacey Williams, who has alleged that Trump groped her in 1993.

Wolff references the duo’s playboy lifestyles but alleges that Epstein told him Trump had ‘no scruples’.

‘I think they saw themselves as embodying this moment, which was money, women, and status,’ Wolff said. ‘We now see Epstein as the sexual monster. But certainly, at least in Epstein’s telling, he and Trump were, in this regard, brothers in arms.’

However, the relationship eventually soured and Epstein suspected that it was Trump who turned him in for soliciting from a minor which led to his conviction in 2008, Wolff said.

But the author’s critics have been quick to point out disputes over the accuracy of his reporting in his trilogy of Trump books.

Trump’s team strenuously denied Wolff’s claims in a statement.

‘Michael Wolff is a disgraced writer who routinely fabricates lies in order to sell fiction books because he clearly has no morals or ethics,’ Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung said.

‘He waited until days before the election to make outlandish false smears all in an effort to engage in blatant election interference on behalf of Kamala Harris. He’s a failed journalist that is resorting to lying for attention.’
