King Charles solves one Royal Family subject however fears ‘authorized jeopardy’ fixing one other
King Charles’ relationship with Prince Andrew and Prince Harry has become increasingly complex with one royal issue after another, according to an updated biography about the King.
Royal writer Robert Hardman shared that King Charles managed to settle the lingering issue of Prince Andrew “decisively” in recent weeks by cutting off his finances. He instructed his Keeper of the Privy Purse, the monarchy’s finance director, to end his brother’s annual personal allowance, which is believed to be an eye-watering £1 million a year.
Not only that, the King no longer pays for Andrew’s costly private security detail – with a source sealing the deal by adding that “the duke is no longer a financial burden on the King.”

Now, the onus is on the younger royal. It is believed that the King would like to see Andrew move out of his 30-room mansion at Windsor, and is keen to make good on his late mother’s determination to put the “Andrew issue” to bed with finality.
According to the Daily Mail, sources suggest that the Queen would have forced Andrew to downsize to Frogmore Cottage had she lived another year.
However, despite one royal issue seemingly resolved, the King has another to contend with. The updated biography by Robert Hardman also reveals how how Prince Harry’s legal case against the Home Office over issues surrounding his security detail has widened the rift between father and son. The King fears that if he repairs his relationship with Harry, he could be dragged into the case, placing him in “legal jeopardy.”
The sources also say that the royals did everything in their power to help the Duchess of Sussex when she first joined the Royal Family – and didn’t throw her to the wolves as she previously suggested. In fact, it was she who said no.
Meanwhile, the book also shared how Prince Harry was offered a room at Buckingham Palace to stay – but he chose to sleep in a hotel. A source said: “We were told it was for security reasons. I’m not sure you could get anywhere more secure than the Palace.”
Although he no longer undertakes royal duties, has been stripped of his patronages and military associations and is effectively barred from using his HRH title in public over his association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, the Duke has been determined to cling to the privileges of his former life, but it seems to be getting harder under King Charles.
