Trump says he’ll ‘knock out’ employees over a damaged mic and turns to jokes in battle with Kamala in Wisconsin with three days left
Donald Trump took audio issues into his own hands Friday night and opted to hold the microphone for his hourlong speech, channeling his inner stand-up comedian during the event.
After the audience began cheering that they could not hear the ex-president just minutes into his speech, Trump ripped the microphone from the stand and began improvising.
‘The mic is terrible … I think this mic stinks.’
Ten minutes later he riffed on the equipment again: ‘I’ve never held a microphone up so long in my damn life.’
Later when the audio cut out again he jokingly threatened to beat up the equipment staff.
‘Do you want to see me knock the hell out of people backstage? I get so mad, I’m up here seething. I’m working my ass off with this stupid mic.’

‘Do you want to see me knock the hell out of people back stage?’ the Republican joked about what form his revenge for may take.
Eventually an aide ran on stage and handed the executive a wireless mic so he did not have to wag around the one still wired to the podium.
‘And this mic is much heavier than the other one,’ he remarked immediately.
‘I can do exercise,’ he followed up. ‘I can build up my muscles.’
