Marcus Rashford erecting 2m metal fence round mansion with wine cellar and chill-out zones

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is installing a mega ring of steel around his new mansion.

It comes after a string of high profile raids by robbers targeting stars including England teammate Jack Grealish, who was hit earlier this year. England cricket captain Ben Stokes was also targeted by masked burglars who raided his home while his wife and children were inside, stealing his OBE medal and numerous pieces of jewellery.

But Rashford is taking matters into his own hands – putting in a two tier entry system and two metre high steel fence around the entire eco-friendly mansion he hopes to build. The new security system will boast a new metal mega wall with additional hedgerows, bushes and trees planted to make it near on impossible for intruders to penetrate.

He will also have two sets of gates with one granting access to the fence and another set into the super safe compound where his home will be.

A source said: “You can see why he’s doing it after all of these different break ins. It’s terrifying.”

Rashford submitted plans for his new super home this week and detailed all of the impressive features he hopes his soon-to-be built home will boast.

Proposals show he wants the pad built on the site of an old golf course and will include a wine cellar, gym, indoor swimming pool, plant room, games room and chill-out area.

As well as all of this Rashford has vowed to look after the surrounding nature with a 25-year gardening plan submitted.

In it he has promised to look after the woodland surrounding the new house as well as establishing meadows and grasslands for wildlife like birds and mammals to thrive in.

He’s also promised to mow his lawn a minimum of 14 times a year and make sure species such as bats, small mammals like voles, moles and hedgehogs and nesting birds like robins chaffinches, wrens, dunnocks and blackbirds are all looked after.
