Missing British holidaymaker who vanished after flying to Tenerife ‘discovered secure’
A British holidaymaker who disappeared after jetting off to Tenerife, has been found safe and sound.
Kris Finney, an electrician from Ramsbottom, Manchester, flew to the Canary Island last Thursday morning (October 31).
After landing, the 31-year-old contacted his mum but failed to meet up with a friend as planned. His family had not heard from him since that call.

Earlier today, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) acknowledged Kris’ disappearance. However, in an uplifting update this afternoon, Kris’ family confirmed he is safe.
He was located today (November 4) and spoke to his relatives, including his aunt Debbie Kenyon. It’s believed the FCDO coordinated with local police in Tenerife earlier today to initiate enquiries into Kris’ whereabouts.
The British Consulate reportedly reached out to several hospitals on the island. It’s understood that the friend Kris was supposed to meet last Thursday has been questioned by the police, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Debbie revealed that a kind-hearted woman discovered Kris and lent him her phone after taking him to her shop, enabling him to contact his family. Kris had informed his mum last Thursday that he had landed in Tenerife, but his phone battery was running low.
He had chatted with mates around 9pm last Thursday before he vanished, and it’s known he was in Playa de las Americas, the same area which missing British teen Jay Slater had been staying when his tragically disappeared earlier this year.
Earlier today, an FCDO spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British man reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
Snaps of Kris and details of his last known location had been posted on the Missing Persons Tenerife Facebook group, which boasts over 10,000 members.
