Horror as ‘human stays’ found in subject by passerby – as police launch probe
Police have launched a probe after suspected human remians were found in a field by a passer by.
The horrific discovery was made by a passer by, close to a quiet cul-de-sac near Lyde Green in north-east Bristol.
Officers from Avon and Somerset Police have not yet identified the remains and the death is being treated as unexplained.
Multiple emergency service vehicles, including a police forensics van and an underwater search unit were rushed to the scene.
Residents in Apple Grove near Lyde Green say their usually-quiet street has been ‘non-stop’ since yesterday, as police units have searched the area.

A footpath heading towards a bridge over the Folly Brook has been sealed off by police.
A police spokesperson said: ‘Police are investigating the discovery of suspected human remains in a field in Emersons Green.
‘Officers were alerted just before midday on Tuesday 5 November by a member of the public.
‘Police and fire crews attended, and further searches will be carried out today, Wednesday 6 November.
‘Detectives have not yet been able to identify the remains, and the death is currently being treated as unexplained pending a forensic post-mortem examination.
‘Anyone with any information which could help the investigation is asked to call 101 and give the reference 5224291560.’
