Jake Paul receives harrowing warning from Mike Tyson coach who leaks coaching camp actuality

Mike Tyson’s trainer has sent Jake Paul a harrowing warning by showing the damage ‘Iron Mike’ did to his pads during a sparring session.

Legendary boxer Tyson, 58, is all set for a showdown with YouTuber-turned-boxing sensation Paul in the ring on November 15. The much-anticipated eight-round bout is scheduled to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and is expected to rake in millions of viewers live on Netflix.

Tyson, who hung up his gloves professionally after a loss back in 2005, has already come out of retirement once previously for the 2020 exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. And as he looks to secure his 45th career knockout against an opponent 31 years younger, his coach has fired a stark warning to Team Paul.

Rafael Cordeiro, who acted as Tyson’s cornerman against Jones, is convinced ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ is in much sharper form than he was in his last fight. A behind-the-scenes look in the pre-fight documentary series, ‘MVP Uncut’, offers a glimpse into Tyson’s daily camp routine.

During one segment following an intense sparring session, Cordeiro reveals the pair of battered hand mitts he used, showcasing how Tyson’s devastating punch power caused the leather to tear off.

Cordeiro said: “This is really good equipment, and it couldn’t handle Mike’s punches. Can you imagine Jake’s face? Can you imagine that kid?

“He’s raising his techniques in his training better and is better every single day. His defense, his power, his speed, his endurance, his conditioning – everything he needs to put on a great show.

“The only guarantee that we have is Mike will dare to kill or die. He’s going to hunt this kid like crazy. He just needs one touch. If Mike touches him, it’s over. And the proof is going to be on November 15.”

Tyson previously had to withdraw from the bout, originally slated for July, after being hospitalised for “throwing up blood”. He was taken to the hospital where doctors discovered a two-and-a-half-inch stomach ulcer.

Paul, who boasts a 10-1 professional boxing record, was gutted upon learning Tyson couldn’t fight, saying in a new Netflix documentary: “When I received the news that he was out and not able to fight, I was just numb, I was just like, ‘f***…’

“I’m the type of person who likes a schedule and likes to know what I’m doing. This just threw a wrench in all of that, there was nothing I could do, it was out of my control. I look at Mike Tyson as a killer so I never really expected something like this.”
