Andy Carroll and his estranged wife have reportedly put their six-bed Essex mansion up for sale following their break-up.

Former Newcastle and Liverpool striker Carroll – who now plays in France for Bordeaux – married reality TV star Billi Mucklow in 2022.

They share three children and had been engaged since 2014.

But their engagement lasted longer than their marriage likely will after they filed for divorce earlier this year.

The divorce has not yet been finalised but Carroll and 36-year-old Billi are already looking to sell the house.

That house, which used to belong to Rod Stewart, cost the couple £4.1million in 2019. However, it is now said to be worth closer to £8.5m.

The 18th century property in Epping boasts 25 acres of land, a football pitch and a lake.

After splitting from his wife, Carroll, 35, is now dating hair and makeup artist Lou Teasdale, 41.

They were first pictured in public together shortly after Carroll’s previous relationship ended in September.

A source told The Sun: ‘Billi has been left hurt and blind-sided that Andy appears to have moved on so quickly with Lou. It feels very public and embarrassing, especially as they only split in summer.

‘Billi has a close-knit family and they have been left livid with Andy over his lack of loyalty, but are rallying around her to support her.

‘Billi wants to cut ties but she doesn’t like the idea that Andy can come and go as he pleases.

‘She realises the house is part of their divorce discussions, but she doesn’t want him turning up unannounced, particularly with his new girlfriend.’

News of the proposed sale comes despite mother-of-three Billi reportedly being determined to keep the house as part of a multimillion pound divorce battle.

A source the Daily Mail: ‘Billi has no intention of speaking out until after her divorce is finalised. She is determined to get everything she can – including the house.

‘Her dad Steve is also fuming and won’t let her settle for anything less than she deserves.’

This comes after insiders revealed Billi’s family are all privately fuming with Carroll but her brother has been the most vocal and now wants nothing to do with the ex-England forward.

Former reality star Sam Mucklow, 32, believes Carroll’s actions are particularly harsh on Billi given she has brought up his two eldest children from a previous relationship – Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14 – as her own and will continue to do so despite the pair going their separate ways.

Carroll’s new partner Lou is said to be desperate to avoid any confrontation with the Mucklows and has no intention of rubbing her new relationship in their faces.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Sam is livid with Andy, he’s lost a lot of respect for him.

‘Billi has been a great mum to his two eldest kids, they’re very much part of the family and she’s brought them up as their own.

‘So for Andy to treat her with such disdain, and move on so quickly with another woman after their split, is particularly hard to take.’

MailOnline has approached Billi’s reps for comment.

Sam is the only member of the Mucklow family to unfollow Andy on Instagram. Even his girlfriend Shelby Tribble – a former TOWIE star like himself and Billi – follows him, along with his mother Paula, father Stephen and sister Giorgie.

Carroll recently unfollowed Sam, but continued to follow other members of the family, including Billi – who still follows him.

The footballer and Lou made their first public appearance at a Halloween party last weekend in which they dressed up as Taylor Swift and her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

They have previously been spotted together on a date in East London and on a beach in Mallorca celebrating influencer Lou’s 41st birthday.

Former One Direction stylist Lou has yet to push her new relationship with Andy on social media out of respect for Billi, who was in a relationship with the ex-West Ham star for 11 years.

An insider said: ‘Lou doesn’t want any bad blood between Billi and her family.

‘She’s trying to be as respectful as possible.’

Carroll started his football career at Newcastle United and also represented Liverpool, West Ham, West Brom, Reading and Preston in England.

When he moved from Newcastle to Liverpool in 2011, he held the record for being the most expensive British player of all time, having cost £35m.

Carroll, who represented Liverpool nine times between 2011 and 2013, has been based in France since last September when he joined Ligue 2 club Amiens.

After scoring just four goals in 35 games for Amiens, he moved further down the divisions at the start of this season when he signed for Bordeaux in the fourth tier of French football.

However, the father-of-five recently told L’Equipe that he couldn’t be happier with his new life in France, despite his modest salary by football standards – which is said to be less than €2,500 a month, compared to the £80,000-a-week wages he earned at Liverpool.

The 35-year-old has even admitted that it’s costing him money to play for the troubled club, who had their professional license removed and were relegated to France’s fourth division after being declared bankrupt during a turbulent summer.

Speaking to the French newspaper last month, Carroll said: ‘I won’t tell you the exact figure but to give you an idea, since I moved here, I rent a pretty little house and my salary is less than my rent.

‘If I joined Bordeaux, it clearly wasn’t for the money.’

He had previously spoken to Mail Sport in January about his initial move to France. ‘I wanted a challenge,’ he explained.

‘A challenge in a completely different country. A fresh start. I spoke to my agent and said, “Get me a club abroad”.

‘I came here (Amiens) and it was the one. It’s a one and half hour drive to Calais and I can get the shuttle back to Epping.’

Bordeaux is almost eight hours from Calais by car.
