Tributes to ‘stunning mum in and out’ killed in home fireplace as kids escaped

A mum-of-four who was killed in a house fire has been described as “beautiful inside and out”.

Kate Mulcahy was found dead after a fire broke out at a luxury home at Ramsden Farm, a cluster of upmarket homes off Roundthorn Road in Middleton, Greater Manchester in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 10.

It’s understood the 37-year-old had twin boys, who were born last year, and two girls.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Ms Mulcahy’s family is being supported by specially-trained officers, the MEN reports.

Neighbours said the house was recently put up for sale, with signs outside appearing “four or five weeks ago”. An online listing, which has now been removed, valued the home at £1.2million.

As forensic officers remain at the scene, combing for evidence, tributes have poured in for the mum, with flowers and condolences placed on the front lawn and heartbreaking messages shared on social media.
