Located on Craven Street, the Grade II-listed house spans seven floors and offers prospective buyers period features as well as contemporary finishings. 

At present, the property has a slew of different reception rooms, but it has the potential to become a six-bedroom property, estate agency Dexters said.

The property comes with a 34ft dining room, spanning the entire ground floor, and boasting extensive space to entertain guests. There are big sash windows at either end, ensuring the space is flooded with light. 

For those who like to throw dinner parties, there is a butler’s pantry on the ground floor too. 

On the lower ground floor, there is a bright and airy Shaker-style kitchen with integrated Miele appliances.  

Moving up to the first floor, there are two large reception rooms, finished with panelling, cornicing and marble fireplaces. 

On the second floor, there is a library equipped with bespoke shelving and an adjoining study.

The lower ground floor has a staff room, utility room and additional storage space. 

Six floors at the property are accessible as the house has a lift. The property also has CCTV and an EV charging station. 

The property is being sold freehold, which Dexters claims is rare for a townhouse of its size and location. 

‘The house has been completely refurbished by the owners to an exacting specification’, it added.  

James Staite, board director of Dexters in Marylebone, said: ‘It is very rare for freehold townhouses of this size to come to the sales market as often they are generational purchases and passed down for years.

Craven Street has an extensive and long-standing history. Dwellings in the street were previously home to the likes of Benjamin Franklin, Herman Melville and medical pioneer William Hewson.
