Starbucks to open a number of new excessive avenue branches throughout UK – see full checklist

Starbucks is set to open several new branches across the UK – with the first one opening its doors today (November 14). Adding the more than 1,320 branches through the country that Starbucks already has, the high street coffee chain giant has been opening more stores throughout the year.

And plans have been unveiled to add to that number, with more scheduled through to 2025. So far, only four new branch locations have been made public, with the first of those welcoming customers in Stourbridge. Located on Stourbidge High Street the branch will see nine new staff employed and will only sell a “simplified menu”.

It also houses a bookable community space available free of charge. Shawn Devonport, regional operations manager, Starbucks UK, said: “We are delighted to open our new store in Stourbridge and are proud to offer an exciting new bookable space for the local community to use and make our space their own.

“This opening reflects Starbucks commitment to creating welcoming, community coffee houses where people can gather and connect over a delicious cup of handcrafted coffee served by our talented baristas.”

The three other branches looking to open soon are:

  • Grantham (opened November 8)
  • Skegness
  • Fife

The first branch on the list is a drive-thru on the Great North Road in Foston which opened on November 8. A spokesperson for the company said: “The opening of our new Grantham store is a proud moment for the Magic Bean Company. We’re delighted to provide a comfortable and accessible space for all A1 commuters and locals to enjoy their favourite Starbucks beverages and bites.”

The keys to the Skegness branch will be handed over in February 2025 so that it can then be fitted with Starbucks branding and opened as a drive-thru shorty after.

The latter in Fife, Scotland, is currently awaiting approval from the local council but if approved then it will open on un-developed land at Ridge Way at Hillend Industrial Park in Dalgety Bay.
